Fatherhood, Flavor, and the Fire It Takes

Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Swagger Foods! This Father’s Day weekend, we’re thinking about the grill, the gathering, and the people behind the plates (especially the dads).

At Swagger Foods, our story starts with one. Our founder didn’t set out to build a seasoning company to make some perfect dream come true. He was just a guy trying to keep the lights on, get dinner on the table, and build something - all while raising two daughters and running a business from scratch. And like most things worth doing, it hasn’t always been smooth. There’ve been long nights and hard choices. But there’s also been a lot of showing up, and that’s what we think Father’s Day is really about.

Whether you’re a dad, raising one, remembering one, or just trying to be a better one - here’s to the effort. The showing up. The putting food on the table, even when things aren’t picture-perfect. So fire up the grill, pass the tongs, and season it like you mean it.

Looking for a way to level up Father’s Day dinner? Skip the reservations and fire up the wok. Swagger's garlic & ginger steak stir-fry is fast, flavorful, and built around our all-purpose Koreyo Garlic & Ginger Stir-Fry seasoning — a bold blend that doesn't overcomplicate dinner.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1½ lbs flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 small red onion, sliced

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil (or neutral oil)

  • 2 tbsp Swagger's Garlic & Ginger Stir-Fry seasoning

  • Cooked jasmine rice or noodles, for serving

  • Optional: sesame seeds, scallions, or chili flakes for garnish

  1. Marinate the meat (optional, but worth it): Toss the steak slices with 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp of the Swagger Garlic & Ginger Stir-Fry mix. Let it sit while you prep the veggies.

  2. Heat it up: In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, add a splash of oil. Sear the steak in batches to avoid overcrowding. 2-3 minutes per batch. Set aside.

  3. Veggie time: Add the bell peppers and onion to the same pan. Stir-fry until slightly softened and charred, about 4-5 minutes.

  4. Bring it together: Return the steak to the pan. Add another tablespoon of the seasoning mix and the remaining soy sauce. Toss everything together for 1-2 minutes until saucy and hot.

  5. Serve it up: Spoon over rice or noodles, sprinkle with sesame seeds or scallions if you’re feeling fancy, and dig in.
